He graduated in architecture and design from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1976. He deals with reconstructing historical buildings and monuments and designing interior spaces. He calls his design principle “historical comfort”. He won the Budapest Architecture Award and the Europa Nostra Award in 1997, the Noémi Ferenczy Award in 1998, the Gyula Forster Award in 2009, the prize awarded by the Section of Applied Arts and Design of the Hungarian Academy of Arts in 2018 and the ICOMOS Prize in 2020.
