founder
The sisters – Erika Varga, fashion designer, and Helena Varga, pattern-, accessories- and bag designer – founded Romani Design fashion brand in 2010. They are working on a contemporary reinterpretation of Roma cultural heritage. In 2021 they were awarded the title Heroine of the Year by Glamour, in 2018 they received the European Citizen Award and in 2019 the national award ‘For Ethnic Minorities’ recognizing their exemplary activities. Their work has been shown in Budapest, Vienna, Berlin and Mumbai and can be found in major public collections in Hungary.
