textile artist
She graduated in 2007 from the Faculty of Textile Design at MOME. In her work, both the art & craft and the design approach are present, reinterpreting the pattern system of traditional folk weaving techniques by creating unique woven structures, combining special surface materials, and focusing on colour harmony. She has received a creative grant from NKA and three Lajos Kozma Scholarships. As part of the Texhibition project, she is building a collection of jacquard doublé home textile patterns, the main theme of which is the incorporation of the pattern system of folk weaving techniques into contemporary design. Since 2015, she creates her product under the maartka textil.design brand.
