AGNESKOVACS
founder
The brand was founded by Ágnes Kovács in 2011 as a student at MOME, where she graduated in 2014. Her passion for leather originates from her home village of Bácsborsód, the birthplace of László Moholy-Nagy. Several generations of the designer’s family have been involved in leather crafts, a heritage that still shapes her approach to design. Her work has won her numerous awards: the Best Young Accessory DesignerAward at the “Gombold újra!” competition of the Central European Fashion Week in 2013, the Lajos Kozma Scholarship in 2015 and the Moholy-Nagy Scholarship in 2018. Internationally, the brand has been featured in magazines such as Marie Claire and L’Officiel Homme. AGNESKOVACS products can be found in several concept stores abroad.
