textile artist
She graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1997, after which she spent several years with scholarships in Switzerland, Germany and France, where she worked with some of the top textile manufacturers. On her return home, she founded her own design studio by the name Andrea Hegedűs Design. Exploring new materials and techniques is an integral part of her design work. She uses traditional techniques of the craft and brings the resulting designs to life with the latest technology, the latest successful innovation being the glass textile. She has created a new genre of interior design with her innovative artistic combination of sheet glass and textile. In 2018 she won the Noémi Ferenczy Award.
