The Paper Up! Brand was launched by designer Rita Koralevics in 2013 with the aim of re- and upcycling paper, while researching and realising the potential qualities and uses of paper. The first paper cement products were made in 2016. Paper Up! objects bear the mark of handicraft work; they are primarily lamps but the palette is enriched by vases, trays, coffee tables, wall-mountable panels as well as small-series, handmade designer pieces. These objects show the diversity and the many faces of paper. Paper Up! products won the Special Prize of the Hungarian Design Council at the Hungarian Design Award in 2014, and the “Design without Borders” Award in 2017.
