glass artist
She graduated from the Decorative Painting Department of the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1958. Between 1961 and 1962 she worked as a glass designer at the Ajka Glass Factory, then continued her studies at the Glass Art Department of the Prague Academy of Applied Arts. In 1965, she designed glasswork and experimented with colour technology in Düren (Federal Republic of Germany). In 1984 she designed and produced objects for the Salviatti company in Murano. Her many-sided work is linked to the traditions of the 19th century, but at the same time transcends the boundaries of glass design focused on utilitarian function. She won the Munkácsy Award in 1960, and she was awarded the title Merited Artist of the Republic of Hungary in 1985. Her works can be found in major public collections both in Hungary and Europe.
