He graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1975. Besides his work as an autonomous artist he also works on graphic design projects; mainly posters and illustrations. He is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale. He founded the department of graphic art at the University of West Hungary in 2005. He makes cartoons and has published volumes of poetry and prose. Awards: Gold Medal of the American Society of Illustrators Partnership (2001), Golden Drawing Pin Lifetime Achievement Award (2003), Bronze Medal of the Poster Biennial of Warsaw (2010). He received the Kossuth Award in 2011 and the Prima Award in 2013.He was endowed with the title of the Artist of the Nation in 2018. His works can be found in the collections of the Deutsche Plakat Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and MoMA, among others.
