He graduated from the Faculty of Lawat the University of Novi Sad in 1975. He is active in several fields of visual arts: drawing, painting, sculpture, film, animation, photo, comics as well as scenery. In 1989 he moved to Budapest, Hungary, where he and his wife opened the Roczkov Gallery together. Besides his visual art projects, he participates a many theatrical and multimedia productions. In 1995 his animated film won a Silver Bear at the 45th Berlin International Film Festival, and took the award for best first film at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. In 2018 he completed his whole-evening animated film Ruben Brandt, Collector, which debuted at the 71st Locarno International Film Festival and has been nominated to Oscar.
