He received a degree as a primary school teacher from the Teacher Training College of Pécs in 1981 and a degree as a secondary school teacher from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1986. He makes figurative sculptures drawing on his personal experiences and using freely built and/or cast forms. He was a Derkovits scholarship holder from 1990 to 1993. He won second prize at the Hungarian Ceramics Biennial in 1992 and 1996. He received the Munkácsy Award in 1996. His works can be found in numerous public collections both in Hungary and overseas. In recent years he has been active in the area of social sculpture.
